Terms of use
Last updated 23 October 2026
These terms cover the Detent website, the waitlist and the free Detent bridge software. Companies that buy Detent for Teams sign a separate agreement, which takes priority over these terms for them.
Who we are
Detent is an early-stage product designed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company's registered name and address will be shown here once it is formed. Contact: devvratpathak.dp@gmail.com.
The website and waitlist
Prices and features on this site are planned and may change before launch. Joining the waitlist does not reserve or buy anything. Nothing here is an offer to sell until a checkout page says so.
The Detent bridge software
- You may install and use the bridge for your own work, on computers you are allowed to use, free of charge.
- You may not resell it, remove our notices, or use it to build a competing product.
- The bridge adds a human approval step to some actions AI coding agents take. It cannot know every risky action, and it does not replace backups, code review, access controls or your own judgement. You remain responsible for what your agents do and what you approve.
No warranty
The website and the free software are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Hardware you buy comes with the hardware warranty.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from the website or the free software, and our total liability to you for them is limited to USD 100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including rights you have as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will say so on this page.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without taking away any protection your own country's consumer law gives you.
